Chinoiserie Restoration

This is an interesting project:  A restoration of a water damaged Stark Chinoiserie.

The damaged area was replaced with blank panels saved from the original

installation.  I then painted trees, flowers and birds to replicate the original paper

The top half of the wall is the restored section, the seam runs horizontally through the large flowers.

The branch to the left is the new painting to match the original on the right.

The urn in this wallpaper panel was cut off midway by the mantelpiece - I moved the urn up a few inches to "sit" on the mantelpiece line and repainted the background.

The chinoiserie wallpaper in this foyer need to be extended to cover a new door construction.  I added

a flowering tree and birds to match the original painting.
